Grants for Motorcycle Rally
Question: Dear Beverly, I'm Vicky Jones with the Buchanan County Sheriffs' Office. I attended your Vicky Jones, Administrative Assistant Answer: Vicky, Its very hard to get grants for organizations that do not have a Beverly Santicola, President Beverly Santicola, President
Grant Class last August in Myrtle Beach, SC. The class was great by the
way. My grant writing is sailing along. What I'm finally getting around to
contacting you about is this, I've been asked to help a local group find
some funding for a charitable motorcycle rally. The group is not a 501c3,
but the rally will be non-profit. How do I even begin to search for funds
with this limitation? Having them apply for 501c3 status is not an option.
Any ideas or suggestion you could provide me would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration in this matter.

non-profit, 501c3 status with the IRS. In fact, its nearly impossible
unless the organization is doing research or creating jobs. My suggestion is
that the Motorcycle Rally collaborates with a non-profit, 501c3 organization
in your community to put on the event. If the Motorcycle Rally is raising
money for a good cause, the collaborating partner will benefit by getting
good public relations visibility.
