From Teacher to Professional Grant Writer
"Your training workshop was just what I needed to transition into this new, district position. To date I have brought in $124,560, but you and I knew that since my district's seven schools' API scores are all over 900 (CA schools' target is 800) and that our district Federal free and Reduced Lunch rate is extremely low, 3 - 4%, instead of the required 40% and above, that I would be struggling this first year. Approximately 50% of my time is spent on grant writing, the other 50% is spent on public relations, communication, etc. I have successfully written a California Distinguished Schools Award application and anticipate that the school will be invited to apply for the National Blue Ribbon Schools Award this coming year. This has been the perfect job for me this year. After teaching K-8th grades for the past 34 years, I find that the flexibility I have with my time has been crucial to the personal events in my life." Although not all USGG grads report their successes after attending a grant writing workshop, 12 students have recently reported winning over $5 mil in grant awards over the last 12 months including two grants that were over $1.5 million each. These grant awards went to agencies in California, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin for elementary/secondary education, senior services, child advocacy, transportation, family services, faith based initiatives, distance learning, universities, and charter schools. Since taking your seminar last fall I have written for 3 grant proposals and have received money for each one -- a combined total amount of $17,549. My biggest grant I recieved full funding (over $11,000). I did and still refenence your book when writing grants and it has worked 100% of the time! Thank you.

Truly, learned some helpful tips and loads of information concerning grantwriting and grantsearching from Mrs. Beverly Santicola. Mrs. Bev, you are a true blessing to new grantwriters and experience grantwriters as well. Keep up the Awesome Work, I believe I'll do it again, being in the workshop was a true awesome experience.
I just wanted to let you know that we received a $290,000 grant from SBC for distance education. That will be given over two years. Your system WORKS!!! As you know, this is the second major grant we have received since I took your course. The first was for $250,000.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to again thank you for an excellent workshop/seminar. The insight I gained will continue to open opportunities for us for years to come. It was a pleasure to meet you and learn some valuable skills from you. I would highly recommend your skills/gifts/talents to anyone who is looking to explore new ways to solve problems.
