Success Follows USGG Grant Writing Workshop

Beverly,

Since taking your seminar, I have written three grant proposals and have received money for each one for a combined total of $17,549. I still reference your workbook when writing grant proposals. Thanks.

Smithsonian Exhibit Grant Award

Beverly,

I wanted you to know that I have been successful in gaining a grant from the Illinois Humanities Council for a traveling Smithsonian Exhibit in 2007. I had been rejected. I made two phone calls and followed up with a letter and received a call a week ago that they had found it necessary to pull a city and we had it if we still wanted it. Persistance did pay.

Marine to Help Marine Families

Hello Beverly,

I hope you had an awesome time in Hawaii. I left the San Diego seminar on a high. Thank you for opening a window to my future. I am still working my checklist for my 501(c)(3) to start a nonprofit to help the families of the US Marine Corps. I am still just as exhiliarated today as I was last Friday.

HONOLULU GRANT WRITING WORKSHOP TESTIMONIALS – MAY 2006

A great workshop, very ably presented, and it gave me a wealth of good, usable assistance in grant writing, including good, helpful reference materials. Karl Bachman, Our Redeemer Lutheran—Honolulu, HI.

I appreciated the “outside the box” information about relationships, follow-up, thank yous, etc. The book has a lot of information and will be useful in future. I’m impressed by the willingness to provide continuous advice/support. Margery Doescher, National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii—Honolulu, HI.

Wow, Bev, you’re the best! I loved your honest enthusiasm, professionalism, and organization of the topic. Many times I go to workshops and learn one small element of what I need—but from this workshop I feel as if I’ve learned the complete package—the best workshop I’ve ever attended! Mahalo mei loa! Mary Dolan, Hawaii Dept. of Education—Kailua, HI.

Excellent presentation with realistic description and all components in place to equip us to write great grants—very credible and helpful for organizing the whole process of grant writing from A—Z. A+ on method, knowledge, and enthusiasm. I appreciated your candor and honesty regarding the inner workings of landing the grant and the need to establish a relationship. I am now clear on my role and how I can contribute in a meaningful way to the overall process—also how to select board members. Jeffrey R. Mueller, RecoveryWorks—Honolulu, HI.
