articles written by professional grant writers on tips and tools related to
successful grant writing, funder relations, grant management, etc. as well as
advice on how to improve problem statements, budgets, evaluations, and other key
components of successful proposal writing.
Weekly Funding Notifications: In partnership with GrantStation, USGG
members receive a weekly newsletter with regional and national funding
opportunities. Funding notifications are recent and timely allowing adequate
time to apply for new grant opportunities.
Nonprofit Start Up EBook: Step-by-step instructions for setting up your
nonprofit organization yourself. Includes templates for Articles of
Incorporation, By Laws, and a Conflict of Interest Policy, as well as how to
file for your Employer Identification Number, obtain a Dun and Bradstreet Number
(required for federal grant applications), and apply for 501(c) 3 status with
the Internal Revenue Service. (Form 1023). The cost of the kit is $100 and
includes up to one hour of consultation by Beverly Santicola, President of US
Government Grants.
Grant Writing Competitions: Members will be invited to share winning
grant proposals to be entered into periodic competitions. Winning proposals will
be featured on the USGG website (with permission from the writer and agency).
The grant writer’s biographical summary will be posted on USGG’s website (with
permission) to help generate potential clients for the writer. This opportunity
could allow you to develop a grant consulting business of your own!
