Basic Online Course: A quick and easy way to
learn the basics of grant writing with a 45 minute PowerPoint narrated course
that includes training exercises to give the novice grant writer actual
experience in writing a proposal. The course includes sample grant proposals,
letters of inquiry, and lists of funding sources. While the process for writing
state and federal grant proposals is very similar to foundation and corporate
grant writing, this basic course only covers grant writing for foundation and
corporate grants. The price of this package purchased as a stand-alone is $200.
Grant Writing Workbook: Contains over 250 pages of Sample Winning
Grant Proposals, Sample Letters of Support, Sample Letters of Collaboration,
Sample Letter Proposals, Lists of Funding Resources, and Training Slides Two Day
Grant Writing Workshop. This product is not available for purchase without

Monthly Newsletter: Contains
articles written by professional grant writers on tips and tools related to
successful grant writing, funder relations, grant management, etc. as well as
advice on how to improve problem statements, budgets, evaluations, and other key
components of successful proposal writing. Checklists will be offered each month
for prospect research, grant readiness, funder relations, collaborations with
other agencies, and various other components of successful proposal development.
Each newsletter will provide information on recommended books, websites,
articles, upcoming trainings, seminars, fundraising opportunities, and

Foundation Search:
USGG membership gets you a free online demonstration of Metasoft's new Global
Search to identify prospective funders. Think Globally! You can search over 4
million documents of funder information from the US, Canada, the UK and
Australia. Located on the main menu bars of both FoundationSearch and Big
Online, this new full text search gives you the power to search the world for
funders with one single click! With Global Search, you can now conduct keyword
searches in all of the resources of FoundationSearch and BIG Online. This means
access to over 4 million records from over 122,000 funders in one
search.
Education Grant Opportunities: Information on education
funding opportunities that will help teachers and schools. This feature provides
teachers, schools and related organizations with free access to up-to-date
announcements of corporate, foundation, state and federal education funding
opportunities—and only education. In addition, if you’re like a lot of districts
out there that don’t have someone on staff who can write a winning proposal, you
can turn to our Grant Writers’ Directory. It’s the perfect solution for schools
that have neither the staff nor the experience required to write successful
proposals.
Grant Writing Competitions: Members will be invited to
share winning grant proposals to be entered into quarterly competitions. Winning
proposals will be featured on the USGG website (with permission from the writer
and agency). The grant writer’s biographical summary will be posted on USGG’s
website (with permission) to help generate potential clients for the writer.
This opportunity could allow you to develop a grant consulting business of your
own!
