Nonprofit Incorporation – Do It Yourself Kit

Step-by-step instructions for setting up your nonprofit organization yourself. Includes templates for Articles of Incorporation, By Laws, and a Conflict of Interest Policy, as well as how to file for your Employer Identification Number, obtain a Dun and Bradstreet Number (required for federal grant applications), and apply for 501(c) 3 status with the Internal Revenue Service. (Form 1023). The cost of the kit is $100 and includes up to one hour of consultation by Beverly Santicola, President of US Government Grants.

Host a Grant Writing Workshop in Your City – Earn Two Free Registrations

If you are interested in a hosting a workshop in your city and know at least 10 other people who would pay to attend, you and another individual from your agency may attend free. The cost to host a workshop in your city is minimal. All you need to do is help promote the workshop by sending email flyers to your friends, relatives, colleagues, and other nonprofit organizations in the community. The minimum number required for a workshop is 10. You also must provide a professional meeting space to seat up to 20 people around a U shape table. Refreshments are nice, but not necessary.

Sponsored Grant Writing Workshops for Staff Development

USGG will customize its grant writing workshops for your organization or for a group of nonprofits in your city. The fee for a one-day workshop is $3,000 and the ideal number of participants is 10-20. The fee for a two-day workshop is $4,000 with and ideal number of participants is 30-40. Examples of past grant writing workshop sponsors are city, county and state government agencies; churches; schools, colleges, and universities; hospitals and health care agencies; police and fire departments; and other nonprofit groups.

Nonprofit Incorporation

Fees for services to complete all paperwork necessary to establish a new nonprofit corporation in your state are $2,000. This includes Articles of Incorporation, By Laws, Conflict of Interest Policy, Filing for Employer Identification Number, Filing for Dun and Bradstreet Number (required for federal grant applications), and Filing for 501(c) 3 status with the Internal Revenue Service. State and federal fees for nonprofit incorporation generally range from $200 to $1000 combined.

Grant Prospect Research

We will research a database of more than 80,000 foundation and corporate giving sources and provide a targeted list of at least 50 potential prospects for any project. In addition, clients will receive a free guided tour of Foundation Search and one month free subscription. Training on how to find state and federal grant sources is also included for a flat fee of $500.

Grant Writing Services

Fees for grant writing services range from $3,000 to $12,000 depending upon the difficulty of the proposal and number of hours required to complete the proposal. Private foundation grant proposals are generally less time consuming than state and federal grant proposals. Clients must be willing to provide information and documentation pertaining to their nonprofit organizations in a timely manner.

Retainer Agreements

A monthly retainer is set between $1,000 and $2,000 to retain the services of a grant professional to conduct grant prospect research, prepare 5-10 letters of inquiry monthly, and develop an average of 1-2 proposals each month. The minimum retainer agreement is 6 months. Clients must be willing to provide information and documentation pertaining to their nonprofit organizations in a timely manner.

Turnkey Grant Writing Consulting Services

Fees for turnkey grant writing services range from $3,000 to $6,000 depending upon the number of projects the nonprofit is pursuing. This service includes setting up your nonprofit organization, short term and long term strategic planning, program development, prospect research to identify potential funders, and the development of 1-3 grant proposal templates. The entire process takes one to two months and includes a 3” binder that contains all documents necessary to apply for future grants.

Program Planning

We will assist your leadership team in developing fundable program plans for a fee of $3,000 to $5,000. We have experience in program planning for health care, after school programs, economic development, youth development, social services, transportation, labor relations, elementary-secondary education, higher education, distance learning, environment and many other areas.
